Canvis a "Draw me the automobile of the future for urban mobility"
Descripció (English)
-
-
The automobile, imagined just over 100 years ago thanks to the discovery of abundant and easy-to-use fossil fuels in thermal engines, has changed the modern world and accompanied the desires for freedom of nearly five generations on all continents. Today, 2050 agenda towards "zero emission" of human activities suddenly raises the question of its future as a means of individual travel. We no longer speak of the automobile but of mobility. From now on, it is information and communication technologies that are revolutionizing the way cars are used and shaping the contours of new urban vehicles.Connected, clean, highly automated, or even autonomous and shared are now the characteristics of all vehicles of the future.
Prototyping and testing of new innovative concepts of intelligent transport systems is made accessible for start-ups in incubators including students during their training. The democratization of open Hardware, open SW, 3D prototyping, access to mobile internet and cloud and smartphone terminals are part of the maker’s workshop. But be careful to design the system and the performance of the vehicle components and supporting infrastructure to obtain a new MaaS service (Mobility as a Service) that will delight citizens in cities is challenging.
I propose a stroll in this universe where you are expected to change the world.
Speaker: Jean-Luc MATE has been working for 40 years as executive Vice president for different worldwide European automotive systems leaders of which Bendix Electronics, Siemens VDO and Continental Automotive. He has been pioneering European Automotive electronics supporting different field of vehicle control including, Chassis and ADAS, ITS Intelligent transportation systems, cockpit HMI, multimedia and connectivity for professional fleet management and Mobility as a Service. He is considered as a major innovation player in the European Automotive and Mobility ecosystem as cofounder of ERTRAC: European Road Transport and Advisory Council and a pioneer in Eco driving. He is currently managing a consulting company actively supporting the development of, connected, electric, and autonomous vehicle for urban mobility of the future with particular emphasis in green Hydrogen platforms and their use in pan European Road corridors. He is also board member of the Automotive Engineering Society (SIA) , president of the prospective advise on new competencies for Occitania engineering high schools and honorary chairman of the Automotive Occitania Cluster.
