sCOOL2walk
Promoting Walkability for Children and Youth
Main objectives of the phase:
The goal of this fourth phase is to determine the design and functionalities of the sCOOL2walk App and to develop and test the software application. The Eindhoven University of Technology and The Future Mobility Network will take care of this phase of the project.
Timeline:
The functionalities and design of the app will be determined through a Stated Preference Survey that will take place during May and June of 2023; and the app development and testing will be done during the following months until September.
The first task of the app development phase of the sCOOL2walk project is the Stated Preference Survey.
THE STATED PREFERENCE SURVEY
The contribution of the experiment is to help understand what features of the app would be most appealing to potential users. And discover whether different groups of parents (based on e.g. gender, age, etc) have different preferences. In the online experiment, respondents(parents) will be presented with several choice sets, each choice set contains two or more hypothetical sCOOL2walk tool alternatives which vary in functionalities (attributes). Respondents are asked to choose one preferred design alternative among all presented ones.
APP DEVELOPED
The sCOOL2walk App has been developed and has entered its pilot phase, where the web app is being utilized for rigorous testing and validation.
At this point it is already possible to share an explanatory video showcasing how the app is used.
