First Care Activity (First Care)

Fair Deal is a voluntary scheme that helps people with disabilities to make their homes more accessible. The process takes around 2-3 weeks, but you will be notified by letter if your application has been approved or not. If you have been unsuccessful in applying for the fair deal scheme and need more time to apply again, please contact us on (lines open Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm). If you are approved as part of fair deal, then you will need to pay an annual contribution towards costs associated with making your home accessible – this will vary depending on whether it’s an older building or one where there are some structural problems such as uneven floors or stairs etc..
