My Bloody Valentine is a shoegaze band from Dublin, Ireland. In the late 1980s, they pioneered the subgenre. Their songs have a dissonant guitar texture and androgynous vocals. They have released several successful EPs and two albums. After a break from the band, they reunited in 2008. This year, they are back with their best album yet.
