This project is part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility network, which aims to bring together consortia of cities, NGOs, academic institutions and/or commercial partners to initiate projects that engage people on the topics of urban mobility and public realm.
#CotM A hands-on course for civil servants to engage with citizens on mobility topics
Urban mobility is evolving rapidly, and cities must bring citizens into the conversation. Public engagement fosters trust, enhances project success, and ensures solutions meet real needs. This programme equips civil servants with the tools to make citizen participation agile and impactful.
By joining this programme, you will:

✅ Learn communication strategies to make complex topics accessible.
✅ Gain practical evaluation tools to measure the impact of urban mobility projects.
✅ Connect with a network of like-minded professionals across Europe.
✅ Apply insights directly to your own city’s mobility case study.
The programme consists of two online modules and an in-person site visit in Rotterdam. Participants will work on a real-life case study from their city, culminating in a final presentation of their engagement strategy.

📌 Participation Requirements
Participants must:
✔ Work in a public authority (e.g., in a mobility department, EU project office, smart city division, etc.)
✔ Work in one of the EU Member States, or a Horizon Europe Associated Country or Outermost Region
Programme Fees
💰 Standard Fee: €1,200 per participant, which includes accommodation and most meals in Rotterdam. The participant will also need to pay their travel costs (plane/train/etc.) to Rotterdam.
10 Scholarships (fee waivers) are available for participants from Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) countries are eligible to apply for a competitive scholarship covering the full programme fee.
